Time Out – Bathroom

Images / Description
A bathroom is an often overlooked space yet an integral part of the intimacy of the human being. In the design of Time Out Bathroom the 1958 film Vertigo was used as inspiration for the space. Concepts of intimacy and shared space are explored in conjunction with the film’s exploration of duplicity and movement. The sinks are the same, yet not. Intimacy and anxiety align with comfort. Reflected and matte surfaces are counterpoints.  The space is a spiral of cool colors – sea greens, grays and blues. Sound and light are everywhere, yet not. Art is an integral part of the experience. Master Bathroom as Time Out Room.
